Ear impression instructions

Taking impressions takes about 15 minutes and requires an appointment with an audiologist near you for an "ear impression with subsequent digitization".

Please make sure to clean your ears thoroughly before your appointment. This helps to avoid the need for an extra cleaning session, which would require an additional appointment and more time.

If the invoice is issued to Orphit, we will cover the costs up to 40 euros.

Please send us the digitized scan of the impression as an STL file as well as the invoice by e-mail.

Material: highly viscous silicone material, 2 components. Ear tamponade: cotton

For both impressions, they must reach at least the second bend of the ear canal.

The impressions must reproduce the concha completely and without bubbles. Furthermore, the anthelix, crus helicis, tragus, antitragus and incisura anterior/intertragica must be reproduced.

Please make chewing movements at least shortly when injecting the silicone material!

An occlusion effect should occur during injection and curing. After curing, please check whether the second bend is clearly molded, otherwise please take another impression. Impressions that are too short cannot be processed.

Afterwards, please digitize on the same day with ear tamponade and as STL file
