For you
Everything you need to know about getting your ear impressions taken. The impression takes about 15 minutes and requires an upfront appointment with acousticians for an "ear impression with subsequent digitization".
If the invoice is made for Orphit, we will cover the costs up to 35,- €.
Please then send us the digitized scan of the impression as an STL file and the invoice by e-mail.
For your impression specialist
Please show these instructions at your appointment.Material: highly viscousMaterial: highly viscous silicone material, 2 components. Ear tamponade: cotton
For both impressions, they must reach at least the second bend of the ear canal.
The impressions must reproduce the concha completely and without bubbles. Furthermore, the anthelix, crus helicis, tragus, antitragus and incisura anterior/intertragica must be reproduced.
Please make chewing movements at least when injecting the silicone material!
An occlusion effect should occur during injection and curing. After curing, please check whether the second bend is clearly molded, otherwise please take another impression. Impressions that are too short cannot be processed.
Then please digitize and send as STL file to the customer or to the following email address: [email protected]
