No, every Orphit is protected against earwax. Depending on the shape and size of your ear canal, we choose one of two standard filters — oval or round, robust grille design, easy to wipe clean — and seal it in place. For heavier soiling we fit replaceable HF3 cerumen filters, the hearing-aid standard, on request. Please specify this when ordering. The sound is not affected by the filters. Regularly wiping the filter is usually enough to keep the sound opening clear, so your Orphit stays hygienic and full-sounding. That means you do not have to send the earphone in because of clogged sound tubes.
